City by the Sea brand identity

Project Approach

What was the initial question?

Think of a festive identity that tells the 200th anniversary of The Hague ~ Scheveningen.

How we did it?

By creating a strong, clear identity that is recognizable for many and to combine with a good visual concept.

A tsunami of epic design

The 200th anniversary of our city by the sea The Hague – Scheveningen simply had to be celebrated. This is 100 percent our kind of project. Obviously, we took inspiration from the sea and the visuals were like a tsunami of beautiful design washing over the city.  The young, the not-so-young, the culture addicts and the party animals, City by the Sea was everywhere and reached everyone. Thanks to our toolkit the partners and event organisers found branding easy to implement.

Did we mention that we won three international design awards with this design?

Dynamic Identity with a well thought-out color and pattern pallet. A toolkit with the parts to be used separately by third parties. A strong visual concept that stimulates your senses for a year. This resulted in a lot of prints, from flag line to beach chair and from beach ball to a tram.
