The Council for Public Health & Society (RVS) tackles pressing societal issues at the intersection of public health and society. An organization rooted in society deserves a visual identity that’s just as sharp and relevant. We elevated their branding with raw illustrations, new typography, and a color palette that highlights the human side of RVS.
The new illustration style is designed to feel handmade. Instead of rigid lines, it uses loose, dynamic strokes. The figures are intentionally faceless and open, allowing anyone to identify with them. We didn’t focus on gender, age, or background, reflecting the idea that society is for everyone.
To further strengthen the visual identity, we added a warm pink shade to the existing palette of aubergine and yellow. This color brings a soft, human touch to the brand’s visual language.
We also introduced a new variable typeface to add a more modern and elegant touch to the publications.
Farewell to Stock Images
One of our favourite photographers Desiré van den Berg created a beautiful imagery style that is honest, diverse, and full of character.
Her award-winning ‘Spelalfabet’ project was also featured in the end-of-the-year publication (On)verschillig.
