NP RES asked us to develop a new concept for their explainer videos. It’s tempting to take the easy route—but we didn’t. Instead, we opted for a dynamic interaction between the presenter, animations, location, and a clear storyline. Together with Willemijn de Jonge and The Videomatic, we are taking NP RES’s explainer videos to the next level.
he dull ‘blue screen’ background of previous videos? We’re leaving that behind. Instead, we film Willemijn in a real, fitting environment. This makes the story more believable, relatable, and visually engaging. With dynamic camera angles, close-ups, and a cinematic style, the videos feel like mini-documentaries.
Where do we film? That’s something we decide together. Ideally, we shoot in a location that perfectly matches the video’s subject, enhancing the story with its surroundings.
And the animations? We bring them to life. We combine the presenter’s story with animations that do more than just support—they enrich the narrative. The recognizable NPRES visual style gets a fresh update, seamlessly blending visuals and storytelling.
One of the biggest changes is the interaction between the actor and the animations. No more ‘image next to a voice-over,’ but a dynamic fusion where everything comes together naturally. Even the filming locations play an active role—they’re not just a backdrop but an integral part of the animation. Many thanks to Provinciehuis Noord-Holland and The New Farm in The Hague for having us!
